Honeymoonin'

September 23, 2016 by Abby Rose Metcalf

This past summer, Charles and I got married in Scottsdale, AZ and spent most of our honeymoon time there at The Hotel Valley Ho. The last few days of our honeymoon, we flew down to Florida and got to spend some time at Rosemary Beach, 30A. Here's a few of our favorite memories from our last night on the ocean...

Happy #EarthDay! In honor of this beautiful planet, here’s a photo of my best friend in my favorite place I’ve ever been to. This planet is too wonderful not to take care of! This year I’m trying to recycle more, use less & take care of what God entrusted us with! ♻️🌏💕🌲♥️
I’ve gotten so many questions since I posted on my story about my @daysyfertilitytracker! And also some funny comments like random men telling me I’m going to become pregnant right away because I’m not on birth control. 😂🤷🏼‍♀️ people are funny. Charles and I have almost been married two years and I have not been on birth control AT ALL for our entire marriage! Two years & no babies... so doing things natural works if you ask me. I tried to start birth control when we were engaged and had horrible reactions to three different types. I would get extremely dizzy, throw up, and I honestly was so moody and emotional I felt like a completely different person. We came to a decision together that we would do things naturally because honestly, we would rather have a baby early on in our marriage than me be a totally different person because birth control simply does not work for me. I was skeptical at first, but I’m honestly shocked at how well fertility tracking works! Fertility tracking gives you the opportunity to get know your body and your cycle really well. With @daysyfertilitytracker, you take your temperature each morning (my mouth) and you’ll get a light of either red (if you’re ovulating and can become pregnant,) green (if you will not become pregnant,) or yellow if Daysy is unsure or still learning your cycle. You can plug @daysyfertilitytracker into your phone, sync it with your app, and have a clear picture and schedule of your cycle each month! I’m so thankful I learned about fertility tracking and even more thankful to have something like @daysyfertilitytracker to make things so simple. I wish more people talked about this because there are other ways to prevent having a baby without using birth control and pumping hormones into your body every day. With all that being said, I completely know some of you love birth control & it works well for you! That’s great & no judgement ♥️ I’m just excited to share another option for those of you who can not or do not feel comfortable taking birth control! I’m also thankful that when we do want to start our family, i will not have to wait for the hormones of birth control to get out of my system!
WOW x 1,000. 😯 So excited about this styled shoot from Wednesday! Thank you @918creates for putting on such a fun event ♥️ Honored to be one of the four featured photographers chosen to be apart along with so many amazing vendors. Can’t wait to share more soon!
This man! ♥️ I used to feel embarrassed when he would continually (& loudly) propose to me in public (even though we’re going on 2 years of marriage.😂) I am beyond thankful for the way he continues to “embarrass” me, continues to pursue me, and continues to lead our family so bravely. Ladies, please find someone who follows the voice of Jesus in their life over anything else. I can not tell you the peace that comes with knowing your spouse is so willing and open to go wherever the Holy Spirit calls him & us. I could rant forever. Feeling extra thankful for you today, @charlesmetcalf.
It’s not everyday you get to photograph the most adorable twins. 👯‍♀️🌵💕 We found a little touch of Palm Springs in Tulsa, OK last night!
Loved getting to do this sweet little family session for my friends @emilysuenetz + @jeffreyanetz! ♥️
